I'll Just Say It Plainly: What I Do and Who It's For
May 30, 2026 · 2 min read
Originally published on LinkedIn →I’ve read enough consulting websites to know how easy it is to describe what you do without actually saying anything. “We help businesses unlock growth through strategic marketing solutions.” Cool. What does that mean on a Tuesday.
So here it is plainly, no positioning language, just what I actually do.
What I build
I build the marketing and data systems that connect a small business’s ad spend to its actual revenue. That means:
- Setting up tracking that’s actually correct, not just installed
- Connecting the tools you already use, CRM, ad platforms, email, so they share data instead of sitting in silos
- Building dashboards and reports that answer real questions, not vanity metrics
- Using AI where it genuinely saves time, not because it’s trendy
That’s the work. Not “strategic guidance.” Not a slide deck with a roadmap nobody follows. A working system, built and handed to you.
Who this is for
This isn’t for every business. It’s for owners of service-based or product-based small businesses, usually somewhere between a few hundred thousand and low eight figures in revenue, who are spending real money on marketing and genuinely don’t know what’s working.
If you already have a full internal marketing and data team, you probably don’t need me. If you’re a solo owner spending $2,000 a month on ads with no idea which parts of that are earning it back, that’s exactly the gap I fill.
What it costs
Most initial builds run between $3,000 and $10,000, scoped to the specific project, not sold as an open-ended retainer. You get a fixed-price proposal after we talk, based on what you actually need. No hourly billing. No surprise invoices halfway through.
I’d rather tell you the range up front than have you wonder for three emails whether this is even in your budget.
Why I’m saying this so directly
Most of the friction in hiring a consultant isn’t the price. It’s the uncertainty. People don’t know what they’re going to get, whether it’ll actually solve their problem, or what it costs until three calls in. I’d rather remove that friction entirely and let you decide for yourself, with real information, whether this is worth a conversation.
If this sounds like your situation, book a discovery call. If it turns out I’m not the right fit, I’ll tell you that directly too.

Why Most Agencies Aren't the Right Fit for SMBs
August 8, 2026
It's not that agencies are bad. It's that the model was built for clients with big budgets, dedicated marketing teams, and months to wait for results. Most SMBs have none of those things.

The Cost of Not Knowing
August 6, 2026
Every SMB can tell me how much they spent on marketing last month. Almost none of them can tell me what it returned. That gap has a cost, and most businesses are paying it without realizing it.
